For one of our clients, we are looking for a Financial Controller, for there Dutch Finance team.

Organization

The Team

You will be part of the Dutch Finance team which is part of the Central European Region consisting of the countries Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Function

Job Responsibilities


For this position, the focus is on the Dutch entities. You will be the local point of contact for any Finance, Accounting and Tax related activities. You can expect the following:

  • Controlling, monitoring and quality assurance of financial accounting while securing compliance with the local legal requirements;
  • Preparation and coordination of the annual statutory report and audit, tax returns, reporting to the National Banks and other local legal reporting in collaboration with our compliance partners;
  • Handling the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to our headquarters;
  • Be the contact person for local management, colleagues and business partners who have questions related to finance, accounting and taxes;
  • Working together with our internal and external Accounting Service Centers, will play a central role in your job;
  • The growth strategy of the company leads to acquisition of new companies that needs integration to the companies Standards. As a finance professional, you could be involved in projects such as integration of acquired companies;
  • Besides various administrative tasks, it is also expected that you participate and prepare materials for the annual general meetings.  

Requirements

Background & Skills


To be successful in this position, you need to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance & accounting or equivalent educational background. Combined with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a financial or audit environment at an international company. Additionally, we would like to see:

  • Good knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP;
  • Knowledge of SAP FI and CO tools, as well as MS Excel;
  • Experience with M&A activities and integration of newly acquired entities is an advantage;
  • Experience working in an international company with a complex matrix organization and with different level of stakeholders;  
  • Well-developed sense of responsibility, able to work independent, be accurate and have a structured way of working;
  • Have the skills and ability to navigate a global and complex matrix organization;
  • Have fluent language skills in speech and writing for the Dutch and English language.

Offer

  • Salary €4000,- -€5500,- per month based on 40hours
  • 13th month and bonus scheme
  • 30 holiday days
